Republic of Austria 8-Coin Set – Franklin Mint Coin Sets of All Nations

A complete vintage Republic of Austria eight-coin collection from the Franklin Mint Coin Sets of All Nations series.

Presented on its original large-format display card, the set provides an attractive snapshot of Austrian pre-Euro Schilling and Groschen coinage, ranging from the small 2 Groschen through to the large commemorative 20 Schilling.

The eight-coin collection comprises:

• 20 Schilling – commemorative issue
• 10 Schilling
• 5 Schilling
• 1 Schilling
• 50 Groschen
• 10 Groschen
• 5 Groschen
• 2 Groschen

The centrepiece is the distinctive 20 Schilling commemorative, accompanied by seven denominations representing Austria’s everyday circulating monetary system prior to adoption of the Euro.

The original presentation also retains its Austrian postage stamp with Vienna (Wien) postal cancellation, combining numismatic and philatelic material in the format characteristic of the Coin Sets of All Nations collection.

An attractive vintage European coin set and an excellent addition for collectors of Austria, pre-Euro European currency, world coins or Franklin Mint collections.
